World Standards Day Sponsorship: October 13, 2022
Thank you for your sponsorship of the U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day (WSD) exhibition, reception and dinner. A joint effort between the private and public sectors, WSD is an annual event recognizing the critical role of various stakeholders across the standards community, including business leaders, industry, academia, and government. To assist the Planning Committee in their preparation for the event on Thursday, October 13, please be sure that all requested information is submitted no later than September 15, 2022.
Please note: For all events held during WSW, including the U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day, all those attending in person must either be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or agree to obtain and be prepared to show proof of a negative PCR test within 3 days of the event.
Per the CDC, fully vaccinated means a person has received their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines. A person is considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after completion of a two-dose mRNA series (e.g., Moderna, Pfizer) or one dose of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine. The COVID test must be a viral test (e.g., PCR test) that is conducted or proctored by a third-party administrator, like a CVS, doctor’s office, or a local urgent care facility, that shows where the test was performed, the date the specimen was collected, a test result of “negative,” “undetected” or the like, and contain information sufficient to identify the person who took the test. Antibody or serology tests and at-home COVID tests are not sufficient. In-person attendees must also agree to conform to all Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, local rules, and other COVID-19 protocols adopted by ANSI and made applicable to any event. For example, each visitor must agree to wear a mask when the COVID-19 Community Level in the county where the ANSI Office is located is HIGH or MEDIUM as defined by the CDC. Even where Community Levels are LOW, every visitor is of course free to wear a mask if they choose to do so.
