ANSI is hosting this open session for ANSI members to learn the latest on the implementation of the USG NSSCET. Released in May 2023, the strategy outlines U.S. government goals to enhance U.S. engagement in standardization related to critical and emerging technologies. It commits to increasing U.S. government support for the private sector-led standards system, and calls out its alignment with the United States Standards Strategy (USSS).

ANSI members are encouraged to attend this session, which will feature an update from NIST. Dr. Jayne Morrow, Senior Standards Policy Advisor to the NIST Director and Under Secretary for Standards and Technology, will speak to the development of a draft implementation roadmap for the Strategy, addressing the status of the draft, timeline for completion, and opportunity for public comment.
