In accordance with the implementation of the U.S. Government National Standards Strategy for Critical and Emerging Technology, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and U.S. government participants are listening to various stakeholder communities—and seeking input through a Request for Information.
On December 6, 2023, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and BakerHostetler are co-hosting a Business Roundtable on the implementation of the U.S. Government National Standards Strategy for Critical and Emerging Technology. C-suite participants from the financial sector will join public and non-profit stakeholders to discuss novel ways to (1) increase public-private investment in critical and emerging technology (CET); (2) embed CET standards development activities into the R&D cycle; and (3) incentivize greater international CET standards participation from the private sector. Technologies may include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital identity, distributive ledger technology (DLT), and semiconductors.
