ANSI is hosting a brainstorming session to identify opportunities and challenges associated with critical and emerging technologies (CETs), including the impact of increasing levels of technology convergence. This session will focus on specific challenges related to artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) and explore the use of public-private partnerships (PPPs)  to share information and identify priority standards development activities. ANSI’s efforts are performed under a cooperative agreement with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to support the implementation in the implementation of the U.S. Government National Standards Strategy for Critical and Emerging Technology (USG NSSCET). Discussions will explore how PPPs could accelerate standards development and technology integration into the marketplace as well as assess the relationship between standards readiness and relevant types of PPPs. This discussion-based session will include perspectives from a variety of impacted stakeholders representing industry, standards development organizations, government and academia.

While in-person participation is strongly encouraged, remote participation will be offered.
