The current global standards environment is characterized by a diverse landscape of standards setting organizations—each with different representation, participation, and decision-making models. In some technology areas, activities are equally spread across formal consensus bodies, consortia, and fora, featuring a greater range of standards and other deliverables. All types of standards setting organizations, including emerging communities of open collaboration, play an important role in advancing global technology solutions—and all share common challenges and opportunities.
This Roundtable will share information and perspectives across the full standardization landscape on:
- The current USG policy environment as it relates to global standards, and how this is affecting the full spectrum of standards setting organizations
- The global environment, and how developments in the EU, China, and elsewhere are affecting all standards setting organizations
- Opportunities for information sharing and collaboration
Lunch will be available for in-person attendees starting at 12:00 pm ET.
