David Miller
Speaker Bio
David Miller is the Senior Advisor, Global Industry Services at the American Petroleum
Institute. In this role he provides guidance and perspective on overall standards policy
and procedures and is a member of API’s Global Industry Services Management Staff.
David also serves on the Board of Directors of the American National Standards Institute
(ANSI) as a Vice Chair and chairs the ANSI Finance Committee and International Policy
Advisory Group. He has also served on several federally chartered advisory committees
and has testified before the U.S. Congress, Federal and State regulators on standards
and technology issues.
David is a registered professional engineer and earned a BS degree in Civil Engineering
from the University of Utah, a MS degree in Environmental Sciences from the University
of Texas at Dallas and represents API on the University of Texas Petroleum Extension
Service Board of Advisors and the Offshore Technology Conference Board of Directors.
He joined API in 1985 and has been elected a Fellow by the American Society of Civil
Engineers.
